MADD offers several ways for you to get involved in your community, and to make a difference.  The first is to show your support by becoming a member of a local chapter, or by starting your own chapter.  You can also help out by becoming an activist.  There are also numerous ways you can help by volunteering your time in your community.

The following are a few ways you can help your community by volunteering to make a difference.

bullet

Advocate for change:  Learn how to influence legislation and law enforcement at all levels.

bullet

Utilize office skills:  Answer phones, file, copy, type or perform other office support duties.

bullet

Be a role model:  Help the youth learn about the dangers of underage drinking.

If you desire to become more involved than just volunteering your time you can become a member of a local chapter.  Included in your membership is a MADD E-newletter.

One of the most challenging and rewarding ways to help MADD is to form your own chapter.   For the first time in 1999 we had a presence in all 50 states.   There are approximately 600 chapters, Community Action Teams (CATs), and state offices.

If you are to busy to donate your time, but you still want to make a difference MADD excepts donations.  There are three classifications of donations, which are general, honorary, or memorial.
